With this show, CIA Vincles takes on the ambitious project of adapting T. Mann’s immortal work for the stage. Motivated to approach the text with a different and innovative language, theater-dance, they achieve the fusion of the two scenic languages and generate a formal richness that multiplies the scenic possibilities: dance, text and music complement each other to achieve an amazing creation. They start from the basic features of the story and move it to an unspecific period of time close to the viewer. The characters move in an environment where feelings, dreams and stage metaphors come together.

Deja al público con una sonrisa de satisfacción. En primer lugar, por su contundente transparencia. Y es que se entiende todo (…) con un estilo directo, sencillo, lleno de sentimientos y de buen humor. Por mucho que nos encontremos por medio con las reflexiones de Mann sobre el arte, la belleza, el esfuerzo creativo, el amor y la muerte, el espectáculo opta por encima de todo por la claridad de lo que se cuenta.
Esta historia, que se explica con habilidad y sutileza, se refiere sobre todo al artista, a la crisis de creación y a los sentimientos. No se ha tratado tanto de reproducir o recrear la novela de Mann, sino de proponer una lectura propia y original de ésta. Y este objetivo se consigue. Mort a Venècia es un bello espectáculo.
